So, what now?

It’s been a while since I last posted on this site. It hasn’t been entirely due to laziness… there is a part of that quiet time that has been considering what role the site is going to play for me in the future. You see, with Heroes for Hire actually doing pretty well, asking people to pay me to write and run material for them when I give material away for free here does seem a little counter productive in a few ways…

As the title says… ‘So, what now?’

I still intend to post my one-off runs and the campaign I’ve been currently posting will go up when I get free moments here and there (despite how little of the Vegas campaign is posted, the campaign finale is being run as I type this. The material I post here will get a little broader… more systems, more general knowledge posts and more gaming stuff in general. What is likely to decrease is the amount of run hooks I post, which I’m sure will be an area of contention among people who have been following this site for a long while. It was, after all, the primary purpose of the Haven.

Still, while I’ve been deciding the fate of this little blog, I have been very busy running campaigns and trying out several indie systems while I’ve been locked down for the pandemic. Expect me to weigh in on those soon. I hope that people will stick around while the blog changes course slightly. If there are any types of articles that you’d like to see here, leave me a comment and we’ll see what I can cook up.

  1. Big fan of your work/writing. Can you post a link of your Heroes for Hire content?
